Our Story...
 It was the fall of 1990 when Phil Miklo was offered into a partnership at Oak Hill Marina.  He left his life in Fort Dodge, IA to pursue a dream of someday owning his own      business.  After one year, he knew that his goals and dreams of taking Oak Hill Marina to  another level would have to be done on his own. 

 In January of 1992, Phil became sole owner of Oak Hill Marina.  The company at the time  was quite small, selling and servicing a handful of jet skis and boats and also operating a  very busy boat and jet ski rental operation.  Geared up for his 2^nd year, 1993, Phil had  aspirations of a big boating season full of growth.  No need to say any more as we all  remember 1993 as the “summer of the flood.”  The bright spot for Phil and wife Teresa  that year was, however, the birth of their first child.  Despite the hard times, Oak Hill  Marina was able to persevere and move forward.

Ambition, hard work, perseverance, and a great staff that has grown year after year are what have made Oak Hill Marina what it is today.  The dealership has grown from a little, remodeled convenience store/restaurant along side of the road into a state-of-the-art marina that has received industry wide recognition.  Outside of a beautiful showroom, Oak Hill Marina also has 9 offsite storage facilities, and offsite rigging shop, the best of the best employees and a great customer base.
